Plus they are easily removable so it doesn’t ruin the surface it was once adhered to. They have many different designs to fit many decor styles, but I’m a big fan of bringing nature into our homes. My favorite nature inspired graphics is the 7.00 Wall Graphic which comes with seperate branches, branch nodes, leaves, and birds so you can arrange it all however you like. A few years ago I purchased a star projector toy, imagining and hoping that it would transform my bedroom into my very own planetarium. Like many people, stars and starlight have always held a special fascination for me. Who doesn’t enjoy stargazing every now and then? Those teeny twinkling specks of light remind us of the enormity of the galaxy, and are just so beautiful to behold. Well, imagine my disappointment when said child’s toy failed to create anything resembling a sky full of stars. Instead I saw blurry smears over a small section of my ceiling. I packed up the plastic hunk of junk, returned it to the manufacturer, and wondered if I would ever get that starlit bedroom that I so dreamed of.

Fast forward a few years and someone finally got it right! The Laser Star Projector is not a toy and promises to “fill any room from the tiniest bedroom to the largest warehouse with a crystal clear animated star display“. Yes, it’s animated, too! You’ll see thousands of green laser stars and blue clouds (along with the occasional shooting star) that are constantly moving and morphing. Everyone who sees it in person supposedly has an OMG moment, and I can’t wait to try it out for myself.

OK, I may not have a jetpack or servant robot yet, but this kind of technology will pacify me for now.

These new chandeliers make me want to redecorate my whole house. The nouveau baroque look makes a perfect contrast to the predominately black coloring. It reminds me a bit of something you’d see at Urban Outfitters, but with more sophisticated details: kind of a gothic Marie Antoinette vibe. In the past, chandeliers had a stuffy feel to them, usually looking appropriate only in really swanky rooms. Art and products that feature recycled/reclaimed objects are a Mable’s favorite. In our disposable world, it’s refreshing to see people who find creative ways to reinvent castoff goods, and Trixie has made an art of it. At trixiedelicious you’ll find her delightfully twisted take on pretty vintage New Zealand tableware. A common theme around Mable’s H.Q. is the incorporation of sweets into unexpected places. In the past we’ve looked at candy wall decals, cupcake t-shirts, cotton candy scented perfume, snack food necklaces, and even display fake foods. These Sweet Luggage Tags from the ever-adorable Fluff company take the (cup)cake, though! Look at those rainbow sprinkles and bright red cherries and tell me you’re not in love, too.

Beautiful and functional is a reoccurring theme at Mable’s, and this flower shaped loose tea strainer is an excellent example. Tea infusers often leave a lot of bits to swirl about in your mug, but a tea strainer like this one keeps your drink leaf-free. It also comes with an adorable leaf-shaped stand, and with that kind of presentation it would make a unique tea party idea.

Gloomy Bear, created by Mori Chack, and friends to Boy Pity has been featured on Mables.com for a while, and he’s still as cute as he is dangerous.

During a late night perusal of some design blogs, I recently came across New York based dVider. As their name would suggest, their flagship product is a modular room divider. Highly customizable in size and optional printed design, these partitions are adjustable vertically and horizontally, and provide a clean look to open spaces.

Unsurprisingly though, what really caught my eye was their accompanying line of movable wall stickers that can be applied to either the room dividers or any smooth, flat surface, such as a wall. Where other manufacturers have focused their efforts into a niche set of designs, dVider has a wide assortment of art to adorn your walls. There are styles for kids, an “edgy” category, animals and insects, and my favorite, nature stickers. Looking at the organic forms found in the “nature” and “shapes” categories is reminiscent of flipping through a graphic design magazine or walking through an expensive boutique; applied in your room though, you’ll get the look without the pretense.

Each design comes in 12 vibrant colors, and combined with their extensive design choices, that gives you a lot of creative options. Welcome to #2 in my ongoing series of Wall Art reviews. There are several noteworthy brands of movable wall decals, and after my post on Critter Walls, it’s time to take a look at Wall Candy Arts. Their selection isn’t that big, but the available styles are all adorable. After months of drooling over their Candy Factory set online, I first saw their products in person at a trendy children’s boutique. If possible, they are even more yummy in real life! The salesgirl looked a little confused when I replied that I didn’t have any children of my own, but had serious plans for applying 18′ of Candy Factory to my walls. While other wall decal manufacturers have some range to their designs, Wall Candy Arts goes exclusively for the simple and sweet. For a lot of kids and some of us more whimsical adults, that’s exactly what we’ve been looking for.

My second favorite design of theirs is “DottiLicious“. The 80 circles of varying sizes come in both bright and pastel coordinating shades, and can be assembled in any formation that you can imagine. The wall decals are easy to reposition so you can even move them around for a daily new look. (Add these to a Little Miss Matched bedding set and your little girls room will probably be different every day!) There are also designs with butterflies, stripes, airplanes, animals, and even magnetic chalkboards (all available at Pokka Dots).
